The Tobacco Roots have fascinated me ever since I first laid eyes on them, coming down off the Continental Divide on I-90 one evening as the alpenglow lit them up.
The Lake Louise trail is a National Scenic Trail, so it is well publicized and can be popular especially on weekends, so if you can go during the week I'd recommend that. It's about 3.5 miles each way, and about 1200 feet of gain.
That’s great!

I never made it back there to see them again.
Fascinating! We're gonna have to go back soon. We used to camp in Tobacco Roots when our daughter was young.
