Wow. One of the species that beguile me. Great read for a Monday morning coffee break in the garden before the heat of the day drives me into the basement . . . where the rocks are waiting. 😉
A shout out to Men at Work, "I come from a land downunder". I suppose Mexico is "downunder" for you Richard! 😁 (Now I have that song stuck in my head!)
Not many wulfenites here at all Richard. Really only Whim Creek (Western Australia), Avondale Mine (South Australia), Chillagoe (Queensland), Broken Hill (New South Wales), and a couple of other localities.
Super interesting! Thank you!✌️🥪
Thanks for the details regarding impurities. But I'd rather call them variations or spices. It all makes it even more interesting.
Nice price. Ah, back in the day.......

I was certainly channeling Men at Work! :) I don't think I have any wulfenite sandwiches from Australia though :)

I do have a cool little one from Whim Creek; in mine the wulfenites sit on little malachite/chrysocolla balls. But no sandwiches!
Cool mineral! Would be awesome to find something like that on your own out in the wild.
I've found wulfenite, but not "like that" :) https://www.mindat.org/photo-872218.html
Great find still. Definitely worthy of a collection.
