Thanks so much for sharing. Such a valuable addition to our toolbox. Even as I adore quad maps and other imagery, the ability to get 'between the contours' with lidar, quickly over large areas, is almost too easy. :) And then, I often forget to search for available lidar coverage (or I'm working on military lands where they refuse to give me their data).

Kudos for the quality attempt to keep science and curiosity alive. Every little bit matters.

That is so cool. I've seen documentaries about using Lidar for archeology site searches in remote areas. Didn't realize there would be a geology use.

Yeah, if I had to guess, I would say using it to identify subtle, previously unrecognized faults on the surface might be one of the primary geologic uses.
