Yeah, and despite attempts to cover some glaciers with white blankets to slow melting, there doesn't seem to much we can (or at least will) do about it directly. Whether anthropomorphic warming has passed a tipping point, I'm not knowledgeable enough to say.
From what I read, and what I see, most glaciers in Europe have passed tipping point even if we stopped fossil fuel right now. But in Europe like Alaska they were already in retreat 19th century, maybe still dying back after the Little Ice Age.
Ironic having 'Year of Glacier Preservation' given that 2025 will be a year of ever accelerating glacier loss.
