I dunno Dick, are you sure that suture isn't just where you taped the map together?!🤣 BTW, today we visited that "screen" behind Pipestone RV Park you describe in earlier posts. We went to Toll Mtn CG, but couldn't see where to go on public land to find it. Also, I would really like to find out where to visit the camp creek fault on the Butte South geo map.
I also don't know where to go to get to the Toll Mountain outcrops. Re Camp Creek, I have never been past the unconformity between the Flathead and the crystalline Precambrian, on the road along Camp Creek. So I don't know how the fault between the Belt and the Crystalline crops out - assuming that's the fault you mean, but the map suggests that is should be along the road too.
Thanks! I love the deep time-lapse posts about the past history of Earth. Isn't this also a major diamond-kimberlite region? Seems like that would be almost an embarrassment of riches, though!
I searched and it seems to be called the Arkhangelsk Diamondiferous Province. I saw a sort of industry video about it at some point, thought it was next to Finland, but now I see it's probably just east of Timan-Pechora (?). I found this article about it https://www.gia.edu/gems-gemology/summer-2017-lomonosov-deposit
Ah, yes, that's in the Kola Peninsula, indeed next to Finland. It is part of the European Craton, west of Timan Pechora vs the Siberian diamonds that are much farther east.

We'll have to do more exploring. Thanks for the inspiration! Cora

I think you may be thinking of the diamonds in Siberia - https://richardigibson.substack.com/p/diamond . I don't think the Timan Pechora area has diamond pipes.
